Saul Canelo Alvarez defeats Christian Mbilli and reclaims WBC super-middleweight title
Saul Canelo Alvarez defeated Christian Mbilli by unanimous decision on October 31 in Riyadh, reclaiming the WBC super-middleweight world title. The 36-year-old Mexican returned to the ring after 13 months away following his defeat to Terence Crawford in September 2025, when he lost all his titles in the division. Crawford congratulated Alvarez after the victory.
French press emphasizes Mbilli's and his promoter's complaints about a point deduction, while other sources focus on Canelo's performance.
