Denzel Bentley stripped of WBO middleweight title, Hernandez-Zerafa ordered
The WBO stripped Denzel Bentley of the middleweight world title after the British fighter refused to face mandatory challenger Yoenli Hernandez in order to fight Shane Mosley Jr instead. The organization then ordered Hernandez to face Australian Michael Zerafa for the vacant belt, granting 20 days for negotiations.
US sources emphasize that other fighters declined to face Hernandez, while independent sources highlight Bentley's choice to fight under Zuffa banner.
